Happy Christmas!!!

So Christmas was wonderful...to say the least. One of my most favourite of all time. My first ever year where I received no gifts...but for me I got a whole lot of love!

I spent Christmas Eve with the kids at Jesus Helper's Children's Home and we went on a trip to a theme park called Rock City. This was supported by a wonderful friend of Jesus Helper's called Carolynne! The kids had the BEST day and were so happy that someone had been able to support them for a trip! After the trip we all went back to the orphanage for a sleepover!!!

I slept the night at the orphanage after playing Santa for a bit! haha. It was difficult to sleep with about 10 gorgeous little faces staring at me!

In the morning the children were SO, SO overwhelmed to receive presents. For a few of the children this was their first present ever! Their faces were priceless, their joy so precious. Each child got a new outfit- their first new outfit all year!!! They also got some toys each, dolls, cars, toothpaste and the bigger girls got sanitary pads. Some also got Bibles and backpacks for school. It was well worth the hours of wrapping and hustling in Nairobi to buy the things. :) The children will also each receive brand new uniforms and jumpers for school next week as they return back! SO great!

The biggest surprise for them was 2 bikes for the orphanage! They were screaming and singing and shouting as the bikes came out of my car!!

Thankyou to everyone who was able to bring smiles to these kids faces this Christmas! I can't explain to you how much it meant to them.

After breakfast I then headed on a trip to Nyeri to have lunch with a friend's family! It was wonderful! A beautiful drive and amazing friends. We went for a walk after lunch to have a spectacular view of Mount Kenya! :)

After lunch I then headed back to my African brother and sister's house in Thika! We spent the evening laughing, eating and joking! So much fun.

So all in all...a HUGE, wonderful, very loved Christmas!

 Gifts befor wrapping!
